Dave Waters was born and raised in Ohio and worked for nine years in Pittsburgh, before moving to Raleigh in 1972. He has a B.S degree in Engineering Physics from Ohio State University and a Masters Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Carnegie Institute of Technology. He is currently working for Progress Energy in Raleigh, in the development of new nuclear power plants for North Carolina and Florida. He is married to Patricia (Pat), and has two married sons and five grandchildren, all of whom are members of Colonial. Dave and Pat have attended Colonial since 1991, and have been members since 1992. He has been a deacon since the mid-1990s, and has also been involved in the Evangelism Explosion ministry, the Aaron and Hur prayer ministry, prayer council, the mission board, Colonial Library, and several ABF classes over the years. He has gone on short-term mission trips to Togo; Odessa, Ukraine; Japan; and Harrisburg, PA. |
