Tim Platt was born and raised in southern California, where he grew up at a Christian camp in the mountains. Due to the remote location of the camp, Tim was home schooled through high school. He attended Norwich University, the Military College of Vermont and was selected as the Chaplain’s Assistant. He graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1996 and moved back to California. In 2000 he came to North Carolina to work at Kruger in Cary as a Project Manager. Kruger provides water and wastewater systems to municipalities and industries around the country. Tim accepted Christ as his savior at age 6 while his Father was giving him a haircut. Tim recalls that "even at that age I knew I didn't want to live my life without Christ." Tim first attended Colonial in 2000 and quickly got involved. He has served as a class leader for Young Careers, as a 2nd Grade AWANA Director, and has been on two short term mission trips to India and China. He currently serves as Small Group Coordinator for Colonial Corners, small group leader for the men’s RPM Bible study, and as an ABF class leader for Poiema. This is his second term as a Deacon at Colonial. |
