Jim Myers was born in Britt, Iowa and grew up on a farm in Macon, Illinois. Jim graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics. After serving 4 years in the US Air Force, Jim worked for Texas Instruments for ten years (Dallas, TX; Richmond, VA; Washington D.C.). He has worked for the last twenty-five years for IBM in Research Triangle Park. Jim retired from IBM in February of 2009. Jim and Connie have been married over 40 years. They have one married daughter, one married son, three grandsons and one granddaughter. Their daughter and son-in-law live in Apex and attend Colonial with their two sons. Their son and his family live in Springfield, Mo. Jim and Connie have attended Colonial since 2001 and are members of the PraiseWorthy Choir and have been involved with several ABF classes over the years. |
