Dave Conklin was born and raised in Florida, where he met and married his wife Stephanie and graduated from the University of Florida. After living for a short time in northern Virginia, they settled in the Triangle area in 1997. Dave and Stephanie have four children: Derek, Jessica, Jason, & Samuel. The Conklin’s first became aware of Colonial through their involvement in the SEEK homeschool co-op. Eventually they decided to visit on a Sunday in the spring of 2002 and immediately knew they had found their new church home. They completed Greenhouse classes and became members in 2003. Both Dave and Stephanie are very involved in the Children’s Ministry at Colonial: serving as support staff on Sundays, organizing special events, and helping out wherever possible. They have a special focus on the SEEK and HARC homeschool ministries. In addition, Dave facilitates a 6-week study every spring and fall for fathers who are raising sons. |
